“Banks of Russia – XXI century” YI banking forum took place in Sochi, September 4-7

The forum was held by Association of regional Russian banks (Association Russia) assisted by WB and EBRD.

The forum hosted the X conference Banks and non-financial sector of economy: Russia in the world practice context, round tables: “Credit process and bank risks: threats and their neutralization” and “State-private partnership in banking: problems and solutions”, extended session of International coordination committee of bank associations of CIS and Central and Eastern Europe.

The forum mostly discussed Concept of the Russian financial market development till 2020, prepared by Expert RA and Association of regional Russian banks under the auspices of the RF Public Chamber. The concept provides for developing (at the state level as well) asset management, insurance, pension and banking markets.

Expert RA general director Dmitry Grishankov and director of department of ratings of financial institutions Pavel Samiev were actively involved in discussing the concept.

“Concept of the Russian financial market development till 2020 is mostly aimed at supporting economic growth and social stability in the country and at establishing a sovereign financial system”, - said Dmitry Grishankov.
