Expert RA has affirmed the A++ credibility rating to Insurance Group Capital

The Expert RA rating agency has affirmed the A++ rating (extremely high credibility level) to Insurance Group Capital (part of Capital Insurance and Capital Re-insurance).

The Group size indicators seriously impacted on high credibility and financial stability appraisal. The Agency noted high liquidity and own funds sufficiency indicators. “The Group companies choose reliable Russian and foreign insurers and re-insurers for re-insurance protection, which is highly diversified. The main re-insurance partners are: HANNOVER RE, MUNICH RE, SOVAG, ROSNO, ALFASTRAKHOVANIE. The Group investment policy provides for liquid and reliable investments, giving priority to banking instruments”, - says Olga Basova, Expert RA, department of ratings of financial institutions.

In 2008 Insurance Group Capital plans to develop new strategic approach: work over and modify current insurance products, develop new insurance products, insurance programs and insurance rules, continue cooperation with banks and leasing companies and set priorities on corporate operations.

Capital Insurance is a universal company with focus on insurance of companies’ assets, mandatory medical insurance, cargo insurance, building and assembly property insurance. According to Federal Service of Insurance Supervision (FSIS), Capital Insurance in 2007 was 9-th at the Russian insurance market (premium volume). The company’s assets in 2007 amounted to 12 925 259 thousand rubles, own funds 2 049 348 thousand rubles, collected insurance premium 10 772 887 thousand rubles (Expert RA data). Capital Re-Insurance is the re-insurance market leader in volume of collections (FSIS data). The company’s assets in 2007 amounted to 5 784 945 thousand rubles, own funds 1 583 186 thousand rubles, insurance premium 2 991 169 thousand rubles (Expert RA data).
