Pricing the ratings

Starting from February 1, 2007, the Expert RA rating agency has been applying a new pricing policy for credibility ratings assigned to insurers. Of course, prices have been made reflective of company sizes and other particulars. The following benchmarks have been established for Russian insurers and re-insurers.

• RUR 360,000 (VAT included) for grading class “1” companies.
• RUR 300,000 (VAT included) for grading class “2” companies.
• RUR 220,000 (VAT included) for grading class “3” companies.
• RUR 160,000 (VAT included) for grading class “4” companies.
• RUR 120,000 (VAT included) for other companies.

The rate is RUR 120,000 (VAT included) for life insurers.

The rates for domestic and foreign insurers are fixed on a case-by-case basis.

Notably, the solvency assessment rates are not tied to the company grading class and generally amount to RUR 90,000 (VAT included) for grading class “1” and “2” companies, and RUR 60,000 (VAT included) for other companies.
