All-Russia project “Leasing in Russia 2007”

As a result of their rapid growth, Russian leasing companies have become profitable buying targets. The market itself becomes an attractive starting point for the foreign players willing to penetrate the Russian market. In the nearest future the leasing market can await a rising tide of mergers and acquisitions transactions along with the consolidation of leasing providers. In the first half of 2007 the leasing providers held a new record – the market volume of the new business exceeded the total level of the last year (16 milliard USD as opposed to 14.7 milliard in 2006). However there are still problems in the companies operation. It is the legal abeyance on the one hand and the acute problem of finding sufficient financing sources on the other hand.

When implemented, the project “Leasing in Russia 2007” will draw the attention of legislative and executive authorities as well as mass media to some tax and legal shortcomings. This will definitely contribute to the problem solving processes and, as a result, will stimulate the market growth in future.

All-Russia project “Leasing in Russia 2007” is an annual event, organized by the Expert RA rating agency. In the course of this event Expert RA presents the results of its annual market analyses and research as well as the ratings of some leading leasing companies in Russia. Besides, the conference is one of the main meeting points for all the market participants where they can share their experience of customer acquisition and services, ways of providing their business with the sufficient volume of financing sources along with their plans for future.
